Washing Guide

The first wash after the operation is done by our personnel in the clinic. The purpose of washing is to reduce the crusts that will occur after planting and reduce the risk of infection and relieve the scalp, if the washing is not done regularly until the 10th day, it will negatively affect the success of the operation. Washing instructions for 10 days after the operation are as follows: 

1st Washing · Apply the recommended moisturize/care lotion to the implanted area and wait at least 20 minutes. · Remove/ Rinse the lotion with slow-flowing and warm water Pour some shampoo on your hand and foam the shampoo. Apply it to the implanted area with gentle touches (dabbing). You can apply the shampoo to the donor area with a gentle massage. · Remove/ Rinse the shampoo with slow-flowing and warm water · Never rub, scratch or massage the implanted area. 

2nd 3rd. 4th. 5th. 6th, 7th. 8th Washes   · Repeat washing once a day as shown in the first one 

9th - 10th Day Washes   Before washing, apply the recommended moisturizing / care lotion only to the plantation area and wait for 1 hour. When washing with shampoo, apply gentle pressure to the planting area from back to front movements (such as caressing a baby's head) with your fingertips without using your nails, and wash any crust to remove them. Then rinse with water. · Apply recommended moisturize/care lotion to the implanted area and wait 1 hour. · Remove/ Rinse the lotion with slow flowing and warm water . Pour some shampoo on your hand and foam the shampoo. Apply it to the implanted area. While applying shampoo to the implanted area with a gentle massage from the back of your head to the front try to remove crusts but don't push too much. · After this day go back to your normal routine with recommended shampoos.  

After 10th Wash, If there are still crusts ; you should make a more active massage while washing your hair, and let all the crusts fall out in 1-2 days! Otherwise, the implanted area will be adversely affected!

Note 1: The water should be warm, not very hot not very cold. 

Note 2: During the crust removal process, tiny hair particles on the tips of the grafts can fall out along with the crusts. This is normal and shouldn't frighten you. 

Note 3: Especially the first couple of days anesthetics will leak out from the donor area to avoid dirt, you can lay a towel on your pillows. 

Note 4: The 10th wash will be performed in our clinic if you are able to visit us.
